Exeter Nightwalk
Calvin Lovelock, MacMillan's Fundraising Manager for East Mid & South Devon wrote
"On behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support and Exeter Leukaemia Fund, please may I offer you a HUGE (albeit belated) thank you for your tremendous support for the 2010 Exeter Night Walk. Your attention to detail, commitment and ’can do’ attitude have been so helpful in planning this event. Bearing in mind we had at least two contingency routes to consider in addition to the main route, the event was not without complexity! Your willingness to mobilise and deploy staff, advise on event communication and attend meetings (thanks to John for attending yesterday’s evaluation meeting) are all greatly appreciated. Please forgive me if I have overlooked other equally significant contributions!

Please will you pass on my thanks your Raynet colleagues – their involvement is incredibly important to the safety of both walkers and stewards and the smooth running of the event – indeed the police said they felt this was one of the best organised large scale events with which they have been associated! With entry fees, personal sponsorship and the support of local organisations, we are confident the event will raise more than £50,000! All this money will go direct to the charities and provide a tremendous boost to all we are striving to achieve for people affected by cancer. "
